About

I believe education has the power to transform lives. My mission is to create meaningful learning experiences that inspire curiosity, build confidence, and help students discover their potential through the English language. By fostering a supportive and inclusive classroom, I aim to prepare learners for academic success, personal growth, and global citizenship.

I currently teach adult ESL at Columbia West College in Los Angeles, California, supporting multilingual learners in developing speaking, listening, reading, writing, grammar, vocabulary, and real-world communication skills. My teaching approach emphasizes communicative language learning, student-centered instruction, differentiated support, and practical English for academic, professional, and everyday contexts.
My professional background includes adult ESL, K–12 ELD/ELA instruction, literacy development, curriculum and lesson design, educational technology, online learning, and support for culturally and linguistically diverse learners.
I am currently pursuing a Master of Arts in English while completing advanced professional preparation in TESOL through UCLA Extension. My academic and professional interests include second-language acquisition, English language teaching, curriculum development, academic English, applied linguistics, language assessment, and technology-enhanced learning.
I am particularly interested in opportunities involving ESL/TESOL instruction, higher education, curriculum and instructional design, language assessment, educational technology, and AI language training and evaluation.
My goal as an educator is to create rigorous, supportive learning environments where multilingual learners can build confidence, communicate effectively, and develop the English proficiency needed for academic, professional, and personal success.
